Kolarctic 2021-2027: Environmental Report Consultation

The Managing Authority of the Kolarctic CBC 2014-2020 Programme coordinates the programming process of Kolarctic 2021-2027 programme (Kolarctic 2021-2027) consisting of regions of the following countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia.The programme belongs to the European Territorial Cooperation Framework (ETC), better known as Interreg. The overarching objectives of the programme are to increase competitiveness and reduce the impact of borders to promote harmonized economic, social, and cultural development within the Union as a whole.

The process of creating a new programme strategy (Intervention logic) for the Programme has come to the stage where the first draft for the starting programming period 2021-2027 is soon to be sent out for consultation including the Environmental Report (ER) for the programme’s Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). 

Next, we would like to hear your opinion on the Environmental Report for the SEA with regards to the upcoming evaluation of the environmental implications of the proposed programme. In this link Environmental Report Kolarctic_210816 you find the proposed Environmental Report.  NOTE that this report concerns the Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish parts of the programme area. A separate procedure is being carried out for the Russian part of the progamme area. In this link Form public Consultation ER you find a template that you can use for the consultation of the report. This is the first consultation in the Strategic Environmental Assessment process and will provide input for the 1^st programme draft and the SEA.
